Post by: mcmojo on January 10, 2013, 12:42:17 am
My transfer switch is faulty & I would like to install a newer model. What is the best transfer switch I could install?

Here is some reading from the Foretravel maintenance "bible" a place we should all check first, including myself.

My coach uses th Lyght 50 amp ATS, replaced it, when removed the original, a wire off a terminal was loose. Now have a great spare !
Easy replacement on my coach.

If your coach uses the lyght lpt50ca switch, previous posters have recommended the lyght lpt50brd as a replacement. If you decide on this one, note it is made in two different box shapes. One is thicker, one is wider. Check to see which  fit your space. Bought mine from rvpowerhouse.com, good service.

If you have the ATS 50 model switch I replaced mine and still have the old one.  If you need any parts rather than replace the whole switch you can have them for the cost of shipping.

Kieth,

If Lee isn't intrested in your parts for a rebuild I could use them. P/M me if they aren't spoken for. We have limited internet so it may take a couple of days to get back to you.

I have two AC Automatic Transfer Switches, a Magnetek ATS 100 and a Lyght LPT50CA.
They are in Canada right now, but I could bring them south next fall if someone could use them.
