In 2001 or 2002 I was scouting RVs for a friend and found an older Foretravel for sale.
I believe he was not interested because he wanted diesel so it probably was gas. I think it was over 6 years old in 2001, it was front engine (perhaps Class C) and 25-32' long. It had the fanciest deep blood-red velvet and walnut "bordello" interior I ever saw. I believe it had a rear bath, and sleeping was either above the front seats or on the sofa. I don't remember whether it had a dinette.
Does anyone have an idea which model and year it might have been?
Does anyone know of one now for sale?
Feel free to email me direct at clarendonpb@msn.com

Don,
Welcome to the forum!
I don't recall Foretravel ever making a class C. The floorplan you describe, with a rear bath and sleeping being either on the couch or in a cab overhead, plus the length, would fit more of a traditional class C than even the older FTs. FT's aren't known to have "bordello" interiors, either (although many do have walnut interiors).
Could you possibly be thinking of a different brand?
Michelle
I'm more sure of the Foretravel brand and velvet than of sleeping arrangements. Does anyone know the floorplan of the M-26 models?
Haven't heard of an M-26, perhaps something from the 80's? But here's the link to Barry's collection of floorplans and specs. You might find something there; I see a 26LR shown in the 1975/76 floorplans.

Michelle, I see M-26 in the NADA guides for 1978 and 1979. Actually it is M-26 LR so it may be models you reference.
Know of any for sale?

Travco made a Class C in the mid to late 70's,but I lost track of them when Foretravel bought Travco.
Nada is the only place I can find a reference to a Foretravel M-26: 1979 Foretravel Price, 1979 Foretravel Values & 1979 Foretravel Specs | (http://www.nadaguides.com/RVs/1979/Foretravel). But that is listed as a Class A.
Don,
Did it look like this one? San Diego to Cumberland Plateau in newly acquired 26' Foretravel (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=15154.msg90943#msg90943)
The one familiar thing about these photos is the position of the entry door. That may be what made me think of a Class C. I don't remember much that looks like the interior shots. I do know it was a rear bath model.
Travco did make a class c in the early 80s. Our neighbor had one. It was very sleek looking and the cab over from the outside was dark with tinted windows for the sleeping area. And I do think Foretravel owned Travco at the time. The unit was built in Brown City, MI if my memory is correct. Our neighbors was brown, cream with a black accent stripe. The interior was velour and plaid but very very nice and quality built.
I will see if I have a picture of it!
Ok the class c in this travco ad is what our neighbors owned.
That's a whole lot more like what I remember. That brings more out of the old memory bank: the dealer was in San Antonio, TX and had several "smaller" rigs; one was aForetravel Class A and I now think the salesperson said of the Class C, "It's just a Foretravel under a different name." Perhaps it was a Travco.
Does anyone have interior photos of Travco? What were the years manufactured by Foretravel?

If you look under Craigslist (Phoenix) there is a 1983 Travco located in Quartsite for sale: Detroit Diesel V8 Turbo, 51K original miles with lots of pics..Good Luck
Here is one that was at Kenny Lemon's Quartzsite Gathering.
That is quite some front bumper! Wondering if those are some type of collapsible cushions between the actual bumper and the coach.
I bet he moved that out so he had a place to stand to clean the windshield.
I think it was put there for the extra storage as there was very little exterior storage. I saw severa travcos with this type front bumper
