Hello to all.
Our 92 Gran Villa is realy coming along great. Almost got all systems working properly.
This U225 has become my hobby.
I'm Looking for info or where to look on the Video Contol Center and how it works in my unit.
If I can find how it works and how it is wired I believe I can fix it. Looking for experience from those in the know.
Hope you all have a great Christmas and experiencing a wonderful New Year.
Robert
Are you asking about the Audit System? What is your question: tank monitor or backup camera issues?
Robert,
Maybe you're talking about the control system for the TV's/VCR ?
If so there should be a control box that's mounted under the closet (location might vary between models and floorplans).
I haven't had to mess with mine but I do believe there a fuse on it that you'll want to check.
Robert,
The video components are located right behind the driver's head on the overhead cabinet, above the switches (driver's side) in the rear stateroom with the amplifier/etc. and under the carpet in an enclosure inside the rear most closet (on ours). The cables may or may not be in the factory location as previous owner's may have changed routing.
If you are installing newer digital TV's, I would suggest going to a wireless HD setup. Plug and play in 5 minutes with 1080p resolution and HDMI connectors. They are usually available online with big discounts. Here is an example with HDMI connections for the latest televisions: Nyrius High Definition Digital Wireless Audio Video Sender NAVS500 | eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nyrius-High-Definition-Digital-Wireless-Audio-Video-Sender-NAVS500-/321057940719?pt=US_Audio_Video_Transmitters&hash=item4ac08b64ef) I spend hours snaking both a HDMI and VGA cables down through the belly of the beast. Never again with what is available now.
You can also take a TV to a campground table with only a power cord required to watch HDTV.
Apple TV is another good option to mirror your computer screen, show slide shows, internet movies, music. See the info at: Apple - Apple TV - HD iTunes content and more on your TV. (http://www.apple.com/appletv/) We love ours.

Sorry folks. I was kind of vague in my question. I am trying to figure out how the audio/video under the closet floor operates. the switches on the panel in the bedroom for VCR and TV switch between satelite/antenna. Does this work for both front and rear TV's. I am looking for documentation/information on how it was originally set up. I did take out the head banging box for the front TV. I used Bretts modification on the overhead and wiring it for several different connections. I will post a picture when completed. I will probably go wifi in the TV's but still would like to know how original system was set up and repair it. Wishing you all the best of everything. Have a great day.

There should be a switch somewhere (upper cabinet behind drivers head on my coach) that allows you to switch the source for the front TV. I believe that switch connects to the controller box under the bedroom closet where the actual video signal gets switched.
He wants to know about the Winegard antenna switch box. It is under the floor of the closet. I did not even mess with mine. There are no switches on it, just coax connectors. The control switches are on the outside wall of the closet. There was some pics around here somewhere where someone had replace theirs, but how to search for them??? You can do a search on "winegard switch box" and some items will pop up.
I did away with the TV in the bedroom and have a cabinet where it was. Only have a TV in the front. I use a seperate antenna switch at the TV for switching between Ground TV and Satellite TV. Had to retain the switch box for the Wingard antenna booster.
If you have a slide switch on the closet wall that was to switch from cable to antenna which then went to both tv's.
I know what he's talking about as my set up is the same with ant/cable switch behind driver's head and similar switches in bedroom. There is a power switch also. I've had it hooked up to cable and used antenna but I really can't see that the switches really work. The power will distort picture when on cable though.
It sounds like someone has messed around with the cable outputs on the Winegard switch box under the closet floor. You will need to test each cable to see what goes where and then label them. I used a long wire and a continuity tester to figure out what cable was what then reattached each cable as I desired the system to work.
If you have the old front tv in the middle of the dash overhead, it can be removed by popping off the upholstered button caps on each side of the upholstered board at the bottom front of the tv. Then remove the 3" screws and pry the board loose. You can then lift and wiggle the old tv out of the box and detach the cable. You should also find an additional coax cable either in the space behind the tv or just above the tv in the headliner.
It is possible that you may have a bad antenna booster. I am lead to believe that the booster is in the bat-wing antenna rather than in the switch box. If so simply replacing the antenna may fix your problems. On mine the cable does not work without the antenna booster on.
Making things right can be a frustrating and time consuming task but when you are done it feels rewarding.
Good Luck
Hello again.
The system is working fine now. I took Kent's advice and used a long coax with a coupling and checked each cable one at a time.
When all the cables are hooked up where they are supposed to go and the mystery cable removed system worked fine.
Really appreciate everybodies help. One more task down. Have a great day.
