Says it's on again at 12 AM ET
ETA and it looks like the IH-45 is one of the last segments of the show; it's coming up so we didn't miss it
Great Job Cory Rucker!!!!
We need to find the video and post it here.
Michelle
anyone know what the DISH channel is?
194 - look for "America" in the guide. It's on again at 11 PM central tonight
Thanks.....I just looked myself and see that it comes on at 10.30pm central time on channel 194
286 on directv. We caught the last part with the Liberty and the IH45. Very cool!
It's on again at 11 PM CST. We're going to watch it in 15 min.
Thanks for the heads up. I just caught the last half hour. As pretty as the Elegant Lady is, I'd rather have 2 IH45's for less money.
After seeing all of them either the Liberty or my U320. I would want my interior in the IH.
I *think* this is the IH-45 that was featured in the show Foretravel Texas (http://www.foretraveloftexas.com/view-photos.php?id=453)
@John S
When we where in Nac last November we meet Elliot. He was picking up his coach after having a remodel and a full body paint on his 2008 Nimbus he had custom built. He had priced out a 40ft IH (didn't want a 45) and it came out to be almost the same price as the IH45 which was about twice what he spent on his Nimbus. Anyway the remodel on the his less than 5 year old coach made sense for him. The paint and remodel was fantastic. Now to the point of my post. When he was ordering his Nimbus in 2008 he wanted to have it done in the old style wood. Foretravel priced it out and it was going to be a $116,000 upcharge! :o
see ya

When we were at the factory last summer I saw them filming that coach for a show. It may have been the show you were mentioning. Here are a few pictures I took.

Wow that is huge. But if it is a coach that can last years it might not be too bad but it also can price people out of getting another FT.
I watched the show last night as well. WOW.....I really think all of the coaches were way over the top. Also, I think that the FT was by far the best looking and better built than any other at half the price of the Prevost or Liberty. While these coaches are all great looking, there is so much technology and I'm sure maintaince that it would be hard to enjoy! As much that I like these new coaches, I really enjoy mine without all the expense......oopps.... an occassional couple thousand dollars now and then sounds pretty good!!
Steve, I'm with you all the way. Even on the IH 45, the copilot chair is so big it takes up more room that I'm willing to give up.
I had the IH45 chair in that coach put in my coach. it does not take up that much room and is very comfy to sit in. Also, I had the Kneedler Air Ride Seat put in as well. One of the best upgrades I have done. The passenger seat looks wider than it is. The buddy seat that was there was wider or just as wide. When I get to a location I usually turn the seat anyway so that means it is easy to get by as well.
Segment will air again Monday, February 18.
Thanks for the bump!
Destination America "Our Country. Our Stories." (http://new.destinationamerica.com/) has the schedule.
Michelle
I wish I had cable or something so I could watch it....
Mark
Bump - coming on in 2 minutes (7 Central). Looks like it repeats at 10 Central
Saw this show about Foretravel's Iron Horse. Small amount of time for Foretravel but great advertising and awareness. DAN
You all know which of the epic RVs I liked best, and quite a bargain compared to the bus conversions. I particularly liked the interior wood, definitely old school Foretravel quality without unnecessary glitz.
I wonder where it is legal to drive that 122' long truck camper with two car garage trailer and boat(s) trailer. I believe the combined length limit here in California is 65 feet.
Bump
It's on again tonight at 10 Eastern time. Destination America has the first 3 segments (Millenium conversion, extremely-long SuperC plus trailer plus boat double tow, and a bus that was done solely for partying) uploaded on their website, but not the IH-45 one yet (I'm keeping an eye on their site.....)
Michelle,
On the way to Nac in Jan, I had to visit my old bus gang in Arcadia Fl on the way, there was the nicest conversion I have ever touched, was an old Greyhound Senicruiser from the mid fifties, it was a 100% rebuild was 40' now 45.5' was now taller, but no rivets, all one piece skin and the interior was like the latest FT, Newell or even a fancy Prevost, it is to be shown on that same TV program, maybe it already has been.
Some folks have plenty money and capabilities.

Hey, Dave... I was curious... and a with a little Googling, I first found this blogpost on the Scenicruiser conversion: Busforsale.com: The most Amazing Scenicruiser EVER!!! (http://busforsalecom.blogspot.com/2012/02/most-amazing-scenicruiser-ever.html)
And that led me to this video, with Pat McNeal (the owner) giving a tour, inside and outside. It's very much a "home video" (complete with the camera operator turning the lens sideways! :o )... but still an interesting look at his amazing restoration:

Pat, Many thanks for that video, I know it is off topic, but such an interesting work of art and detail for the old 57 yr old chassis. Way above the norm for a converted ex Greyhound.
It is my understandng that this guy has two sons who he keeps in the World of Outlaws sprint car racing with competitive cars $$$$, He owns a large body shop in NJ I am told.
Thanks
Dave
You're welcome, Dave... it was fun have a look... and it is a fabulous conversion. The exterior is indeed a work of art. The guy clearly has $$ (but needs to spend a little on a videographer! :)) )
Just another funny about this guy, he rides around the park on an old Cushman motor scooter, the model before the Eagle, it also run perfect and looked better than new.
A class act, This old dog shows better in person as most things do, the quality of the exterior is way above great.
