Title: Buddy Rally April 17th - 19th
Post by: minibeast on February 25, 2013, 01:39:54 pm
Ok, Searched for a topic on this and not seeing one thought I'd get one started. (Michelle feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!) :))
I'll be there with the Beatrix and mom. (She needs her twice yearly Texas fix) It had been discussed in a previous topic about perhaps getting together a Chili Cook-off one afternoon at the Foretravel Campground, anyone interested? :P
Pipe in if you plan on joining!

Carol & I are interested.  Saw it in the MotorCader Mag. but it doesn't say much about it.  Would like to know a little more about it and the agenda.  Would also get a chance to meet some of you and see the plant.  When we were there in November of 2012 we passed on the plant tour and went up to MOT to look at a couple of coaches.  I don't want o hijack this thread but we have also thought about going to the Escapees Basic training in Gillette, WY.  Thoughts?

Sent email to Foretravel to find out more.

We haven't yet figured out our spring plans (haven't de-winterized yet, will do so in the next week or so), but when we hear more about what the Buddy Rally has planned, IF we decide to attend I would definitely be up for a Chili Cook-off!

Buddy Rally is a great chance to talk to the people that built your coach for fixes, questions, seminars on upgrades and viewing works in progress. (Beatrix will be undergoing some renovations during the event.) Thankfully, I can prepare the chili in advance and freeze it in a 5 gallon pot. :P
Still haven't heard yet on entertainment but if need be I can load up the DJ equipment and a few lights and we'll boogie down in the parking lot!

Well, I've got mom and the dogs here at the Lakeside RV Park in Livingston, LA. trying to decide whether to head on in tonight. Been an interesting trip so far but everything is still working and mostly in one piece. I-10 always seems to shake something loose on the coach. Need to find another route from Florida. :))

If you are definitely going to the Buddy Rally, I would get there earlier rather than later. There were 40 coaches signed up when we left Nac on Tuesday, 4/9.  The best parking spots are going to be going really fast!!

Yes, I got here Monday afternoon when my scheduled entry time was 2:30pm Wednesday, just so I could get service work scheduled.  It's now Tuesday at 10am and I'm number 8 out of 18 still waiting for service.  FT Parts have lots of items on sale-Shell ELC for $12.00, Transynd for $46, etc.
