Some years ago I gave up trying to figure out why the fuel pump on my 93 GV with a 460 would work one minute and then nothing. I removed the pump and installed an external pump with a switch. I am going to have to drop the tank again to repair the generator fuel line so I have decided to reinstall the original pump and see if I could get it to work. The people who fix my cars said that Ford had a crash sensor that was suppose to shut off the pump if you had a crash. He said on older Fords, escpecially 460's the contacts on the sensor tended to burn. Normally they just removed it and tied the wires together. I am assuming the sensor is probably in the dash somewhere, but I have no idea what it looks like. I have talked to the factory in the past and issues with data for Oskosh supplied items have been a problem. I may have to just trace the wires back until I find it.

I don't remember if it is in the dash area or if it is mounted to the outside of the firewall under the front access doors. It has been a lot of years since I worked on that year of vehicles.
