Imagine....In late Sept. 2012 you've just sold your 2nd Foretravel (1993 U225) with plans to buy a "wide body" '96 or newer when Brett Wolfe advertises his 1993 U240 "Superb" coach for sale with some 103 item maintenance and upgrade log attached.
I make an appointment and fly to Houston and inspect the coach with Brett. Imagine what I saw. I bought it. Imagine the outrageous meals Brett's wife Diane prepared as I spent the night and the following day going over everything with Brett parked in this coach affectionately called "Roamie" in front of their lovely home. Those of you who are familiar with Brett's threads in this Forum can only imagine the condition of this coach. Although it was almost 20 years old (build date 12/92) it was in great condition with the exception of the paint and tape which wasn't bad but...why not give her a new paint job and new tape.
Enclosed are pictures of the new paint and tape. When I say new tape..the new tape is an exact copy of the original tape scheme from 1993. This was accomplished at RV Stripes and Graphics in Mesa Arizona by owner and genius Mr. Steve Zacher. Steve has the ability of reproducing any original tape from any motor home, any year. It's all in a computer and printed on 3M clear coat tape. He removed the old..waited for the new paint job and re-taped. If you have an incling of doing this look him up.
As for the paint Justin at FOT provided the paint shop, Orangewood RV in Surprise Az. with the original (gel coat) BASF paint code and they were able to paint the coach the original white color. Fabulous job...ENJOY...BOB
Wow-- beautiful work.
NO, I will not show them to Dianne-- separation has been hard enough.

I love to see these stories about Foretravel updates & upkeep. This coach will live on with its great new owner, and hopefully go for another 15 to 20 years.
Congratulations on your great acquisition, and enthusiasm for maintaining and upgrading this very nice Foretravel.
Thank you Peter...It is TRULY a magnificent machine and now with new paint and graphics. When I picked it up from the graphic shop some guy wanted to know if it was a 2008 or 2009 and another one wanted to know if it was for sale! (not a chance) Steve Zacher at RV Stripes and Graphics does AMAZING work. He had 4 motor homes in his shop getting restriped. Truly amazing work.
Beautiful
Looks wonderful Bob. Something about the original graphics on the GVs really make them a unique machine.
What did the complete job cost? It'd be interesting to compare having the stock graphics painted on.

Lovely job. Makes me want to go buy back my 93 GV as it too was in good shape, just for fun drives. I see the Air strips have gone!!
Maybe Brett will sell his Safari and go back to GV again.
