Title: retarder switch

MY retarder does not work all the time noticed that when the retarder switch is on and I brake, if the light in switch comes on the retarder works. If no light on switch , no retarder. I am thinking maybe a ground. If anyone has experienced this or knows the problem , i would appreciate the help  mike 5071  1995 240

I had the same problem documented here:

Basically I unplugged the joy stick and cleaned the contacts and it worked.
