I spent some time in the coach yesterday and today taking out the television sets and old vcr. Also measured various places and thought about where various things will go. The television stuff is in preparation for putting in a flat screen set. We really don't need a tv in the bedroom, so that space can be used for something else. We'll get someone to make a drawer to go where the vcr was and some doors to go where the tv was. We'll probably redo the front tv cabinet.
We discussed putting a set in the front vs putting it on the side, opposite the sofa. Either way we don't need a huge set. One of these days we'll spend some time looking. We won't have it built-in, but can just take it down on travel days. I had thought about replacing the cabinet/table between the two chairs with a cabinet that would house the tv, so that it could raise up to watch and go down to see out the window, but I'm thinking that maybe we might like to be able to move the tv around a bit before we decide on a permanent arrangement.
Also found the washer/dryer connections. Took a bit of looking, but finally found them. Do I need to replace the solid door with a louvered one for the washer/dryer closet?
You can get FT to make up cabinet doors for you. They are not that expensive if you need them.
Lots of pictures posted of TV upgrades here on the forum. I thought this one is unusual and done very well.
The only reason to make the washer/dryer door louvered is to replace the air that the dryer exhausts to the outside. For the same reason it's also a good idea to have a window or vent open while running the dryer.
Both of us like that arrangement. We've already discussed the two chairs that neither of us particularly like, so maybe something like that would work.
As I remember, this photo is from a coach in the U.K. What an outstanding job. I think the TV is James Bond motorized so it hides inside the cabinet when not in use. Fireplace looks cool also.

As I remember, this picture is of a Grandvilla that is in England and that the TV is actually on a lift so it disappears when not in use into the cabinet. Very cool indeed... And the fireplace is a very nice touch as well.

Sure looks like a GV. We've seen those motorized or spring-powered lifts on several 5'ers, which is what gave us the idea. The original idea was to have cupboards in front of the TV for the DVD collection, remotes, etc. The fireplace is nice, though.

Or you can go with the redneck solution and just put the TV shelf above the TV compartment. I got the idea from Modern Day Jipzees (Andrew). He put a 32" TV up and said he wished he had gone with the 37". I went with the 37". Just unplug everything and put on the bed while traveling. The TV compartment now houses my media pc and the Dish Network Hopper. The media pc has an HDMI out so it just plugs into the TV as another HDMI input. Paired to a Bluetooth keyboard works great!
We didn't have anything in the bedroom for a long time but finally put a 19" VIZIO E191VA in. I had checked with parts at FOT to get the same mounting arm that David uses and they wanted $180 for it! Found this one Amazon.com: VideoSecu TV Wall Mount Articulating Arm Bracket for VESA 100 LCD (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ID7QNI/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) on Amazon for $15 and took a chance. It worked perfectly! The only time we really use it is when we are getting ready for bed to listen to the news. We plan to have David put a piece of trim in to fill the gap at the top.

Our washer/dryer is in a closet with a solid door. To the best of my knowledge, it was built that way at the factory.
We seldom use the Splendide. I've used it few times and seen no problem operating it with the solid door closed.
The original dryer vent had flaps on the outside. They would blow in the wind. One or more of the flaps would frequently stick in the open position. We had one of the "solid awning" type vent covers installed at Xtreme.
I just replaced my old TVs with a 32" Samsung series 5500 in the living area and did the bedroom as well with a Samsung 22". Simple install and looks great. Was able to put the DVD player below the TVs in both installs. Will send pic later as I do not have a camera cord to downloads the pics with this post. Send me a private message or call me and I will discuss with you how I did the installs......or I could charge you $3500 like FTwas going to charge me!! Makes a huge difference!!!!
