My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Rudy Legett today when he came to our home to service our Aquahot. After inspecting the unit and function testing it, he determined that no further service was necessary. It was nice to meet someone who was knowledgable about the product he services and HONEST. Rudy has a wealth of knowledge about the Foretravel Coaches and was happy to share it with us. Tracy Taylor
I also had the pleasure of meeting Rudy last week. You won't find many people like him. He's from the era where you do what you say, a handshake seals a deal, and he stands behind his service. He loves what he is doing and is willing to share his knowledge. Its well worth the trip just to meet him. I will also add his wife is just as nice and much better looking. ;D
+1 - Rudy serviced our A-Hot the other day. After the service we had a great dinner at the Monument Inn. Great guy and knows his stuff.
Rudy fixed my Aquahot with a bit of help from Lee. He fixed what FOT said needed the entire unit changed out. He is a fine gentleman and a first class guy.
After more than $1000 for an annual maint and fixing my Aquahot at FOT it still didn't work. I was already to San Antonio heading west when I realized it did not work. Rudy responded to a post here and helped me through some trouble shooting. Nothing I could fix so he suggeted John Carrillo in the Denver area which ended up only 100 miles or so out of our way. Rudy listened to all the symptoms and thought the $800 part FOT replace was probably Good and did not need replacing. When we got to the place John suggested (St Vrain State Park) I called and he was there in about 15 minutes. It took him about 10 minutes to determine that the coil was not producing spark. He took apart the burner assembly and cleaned the flame detector, cleaned the spark points and adjusted the gap and cleaned the fuel spray nozzle. All of these things should have been done at FOT but there was no sign that they had been done. The fuel filter had been replaced along with the $800 control box. John tested the control box and there was nothing wrong with it. He cycled the reassembled Aquahot several times on the old box and it worked fine. None of the symptoms that indicate thes controllers have failed were present. John charged me $100 for labor to replace the coil, do all the testing and to do essentially a complete annual maintenance. Thank, Rudy for a great lead. John did a great job.

I echo the applause for Rudy. He took care of me when I was in Houston a yr ago at an event and had an Aqua Hot problem. He will be the one who services my unit as long as I have it and I am not too far from him.
Hi All,
Just returned from a whirlwind trip to Dallas and back to get my nephew married to a real sweetie of a A&M graduate.
Certainly enjoyed reading the posts and wanted to thank all of you all for the most kind compliments.
Thanks a Bunch!
Rudy, your nephew must be one smart fella! Congrats and I hope to meet you sometime soon!
Congrats to your nephew and Rudy, you earned those compliments not only by your actions but by who you are and how you treat people. You just get to interact with more owners than most. Have a great spring.
Smart kid, marrying an Aggie. I've never regretted it myself though my wife has had to endure a fair amount of ribbing from her UT grad kids, and me as UT staff retiree. Not to mention the jokes that go along with being born in Arkansas as she was...
