Nick,

Welcome to the forum.

If you put the word "Hinge" in the search box on the upper right and select "All Topics" you will get a host of entries on fixing it.

This is a recurring subject on the forum.

A couple of points on broken bay door hinge fiberglass mounting surfaces.

1) It has been felt by some that stainless hinges are too rigid / strong, as they have put new stresses on fiberglass.
2) New air struts or struts with too high pressure can put extra stress on hinge mounting.
3) Doors have broken all the way through at the narrow side of the propane
hot water tank, often from new struts putting too much pressure on the door's strut mount. Some have left the strut off the narrow side to prevent re-breaking.

Repairs are all over the place, from fiberglass reinforcement to adding a drilled narrow metal strip inside door with bolts & nuts instead of rivets.

All the bay doors show stress on this top flange on my coach.  Might be a good application for some pultruded fiberglass angle bonded with putty to reinforce.
