Title: Seat Covers
Post by: Gerry Vicha on May 16, 2013, 06:15:50 am
Does anyone have a source for seat covers that would fit over the existing FlexSteel Captain and Co Pilot chairs? This would be for a 1994 Grand Villa. or How did you repair yours?  Our Leather like surfaces have become sticky and soft, the padding is like new but the cover material is deteriorated.

I think it is best just to have them recovered.......

Gerry,

Just had a long time local upholstery shop come to my location, remove my furniture and dash, add new foam, recover in Ultra Leather and reinstall.  Looks great and did not have to move the coach.

I used a set of the seat covers from Camping World.  I would not recommend  them!!!  They do not fit well at all on the seats in my U225.  Mine is also soft and sticky with the covering deteriorated.  I have heard that there are covers out there that will work, but have not located anything yet.

Have also been told that I should check for a tag under the seat with seat info on it, write down the name and number and call the seat manufacturer to see if they still make the cover and would sell to me, but haven't done that yet.  So I am searching too!

Rudy,
Would you mind sharing the cost of this?  If you do, I understand.

Gerry,

I would also recommend recovering.  More expensive but with good workmanship I believe you'll be happier with the results.  Your coach is similar to mine and Pierce's and here is a prior post I made to him on the topic of recovering the dash and front seats.  Pics are included.

How many square feet to recover front seats? (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=17041.msg112275#msg112275)

Good luck,

Jerry
