Title: Front drawers, new
Post by: Rick on May 16, 2013, 01:11:10 pm
Took out the old TV a while ago and just added some drawers. All dims are outside dims. all drawer bodies are 3/8 baltic birch. Drawer slides from Gliderite off of e-bay. All drawers 19 1/2 wide. Bottom draw is  18 deep x 10 high. middle and top drawers are 17 /12 deep x 3 1/2 high. All slides 18". Draw fronts cut down  from old refridge freezer panel that I removed to reduce door weight and add insulation. Nice place to store maps etc now, maybe even put the netbook in there on a swivel. I'm no cabinet maker but if I do say so mysself these came out great. For the TV we have a Samsung 32" that we just set on top of the slide out shelf, when on the roll we just take it down and slide it behind the pass seat and LR chair, no disconnecting required.

Rick,
That is a great solution. I've been trying to come up with something for our 95 and now I have. Just knock off Rick's idea!

WOW! If you're not a cabinet maker you should be!  You just found yourself a retirement job with all FOT owners!

Outstanding work! With that kind of quality, I'm sure you could easily set up a business doing similar renovations. Thanks for sharing!

Nice job, Rick!

I just pulled out my TV this past weekend, and have been thinking about the best way to utilize the space. Where did you get the handles? I have that same style throughout my Coach and need to replace a couple of broken ones in the kitchen.

Nice job, Rick!
Where did you get the handles?

Mike,
We got the handles at Lowes they are slightly different than the original FT ones.

Others,
Thanks for the compliments.

You can get the identical handles from FOT. Last time I was there in March they still had some left.  Actually, I changed all mine out about 6 months ago and threw the old handles away.....I replaced them all with a Texas "star" themed handle, just to put a "Texas Touch" in my coach.....wish I would have saved them now!

Michael,  I believe the original handles removed from our 95 coach are in the warehouse.  I will check Monday.
