Was the 1989 Grand Villa windscreen made specifically for this coach, or does it fit some other coaches or buses,
I cant get one here in Australia for mine, so I will have to get one sent from Foretravel,
So I need a shipping agent to ship it as well,
Is there any one on here in the Nacodgoches area, That could pack a 1989 Grand Villa windscreen in a treated timber box and send it to me here in Australia,

Brian, I am familiar with international shipping rules concerning crating materials. I would suggest you contacct an overseas shipping in the Houston area for advice, may have to deliver it to freight crating company in Houssston and then have them crate and ship it.

It was late Friday night when I got the bad news,
I will try Foretravel again and see if they can package it for me and send it,
Its a retail sale, so there are no customs quirks to go thru, Just the package they send it in, Has to be treated timber, then I wont have any problems getting it here,
I have been trying the shippers at Nacodgoches, But being the weekend, I dont expect replies till Monday, I will try the Houston or Dallas area's as well,
Flying it here is about $400-00 Thats better than a two month wait by sea freight, I want to drive it, Sigh,

I think most wooden shipping containers made in the USA are made of kiln dried wood because of the many state quarantines. If it had been kiln dried, I believe it is considered treated because of the process.
Shipped hundreds of pieces of equipment to the Asian countries over the years and kiln dried wood was totally acceptable. Just had certain specs to follow in how the crate was built for strength, water tightness, etc. Any good overseas shipper should have no problems, as long as they protect the glass from damage. IMHO.

At my last job I had to design the cribbing for locomotive trucks that we shipped to Australia from Idaho. The lumber needed to be treated per ISPM 15 (which allowed chemical or heat treatment, see ISPM 15 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISPM_15)). In addition (and this was absolutely necessary) each piece of lumber had to be marked with a IPPC stamp in a visible location so the inspector knew it was done. If the company you talk to on the phone knows what ISPM 15 and a IPPC stamp is you're probably in good hands.
