Anybody have experience to share on this?
Front slide came in about 2" and stopped. Red light on control panel ON indicating the pump is running. However, the pump was not running.
Talked to James Triana and did some voltage tests and he says the motor is the problem. I have service guy coming, but am wondering if anyone has ordered or sourced this motor or had one rebuilt. James suggested trying a starter shop for rebuild. I cannot see any numbers on this motor. Maybe only available from FOT or HWH...
Dick, i had the same issue when at Camp Foretravel a couple years ago, the mechanic simply smacked the motor with a hammer, BINGO, it started working and did so until the new motor arrived. So give it a smack.

Thanks Dave. I did check and parts is holding one for me until local service guy confirms diagnosis. I am trying to involve my extended service contract and they require using a repair service.
Slide problem fixed! It was the motor. Replacement is pretty simple. Loosen the hose clamp that hold the solenoids and slip it off the end of the motor. Two long screws that go through the motor from end to end secure it to the pump housing. The motor shaft is slotted. Pull the motor straight out, no fluid will leak out. Note the orientation of the shaft slot and align the shaft of the new pump to match. Reinstall.
HWH Part # for motor is RAP 90311.

I noted in your first picture the positive lug has been detached as well?
Steve - Thanks, I think and I am ready to stop blazing repair trails! Yep, you do have to remove the large positive wire (I forgot that). It is not energized unless the Extend or Retract button is depressed on the slide control panel, so it's not a problem. The motor is grounded through the housing I guess; at any rate there is not a separate ground wire.
Also, on ours the solenoid mounted closest to the bay door is the one that switches power to the motor when the button on the control is pressed. I could hear and feel it activate when DW used the control.
Chief - The repair shop here in Vancouver, WA ordered the motor from HWH and shows it as $276.90, which includes $76.79 shipping for 2nd day air. FOT quoted me $316.46 with my Motorcade discount plus shipping. I think I saw them on eBay as well for $300 or so. I will try to repair the old one as a spare.
The motor is repaired so now we have a spare. Learned from Kent and smoozed a friend in Eugene, OR into "showing" me how.
It did seems odd to us that the manufacturer would put an insulator between the ground contact and the housing, when the housing is the ground.
I tried to explain and show the repair in the attachment.
Dick, thanks for the info, I have my old unit with suspect motor also, just never dug into it, now I am curious.
