This rig doesn't have an ceiling fan so we went with a couple of the 12 volt Hella wall mounts as others on the forum have done. They are relatively quiet and have the advantage of working without the inverter. I had read that their only disadvantage was that the back of the fan was not covered. I recall thinking, "Who would be dumb enough to put his finger back there in harm's way?" You guessed it. Five minutes after mounting the fans, while admiring the job, Brrrrrrrrrdddddddd. Sure glad those babies are made of plastic!

We installed two of the same Hella fans in our bedroom two years ago (Hella Fans in the bedroom (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=13228.msg72197#msg72197)), and are still pleased with their quiet performance.
In addition to functioning well to keep the bedroom cool (as they did on our sailboat years ago), they have the added advantage of (a) providing pleasant "white noise" for lulling one to sleep, and (b) assisting with increased drying speed on laundry day! ^.^d
Funniest thing.... I've heard that
Brrrrrrrrrdddddddd sound more than once.... you're in good company, jor! :))

Actually, Patricia, your previous post was one of the reasons we went with the Hella fans. Thanks for the tip on drying clothes. I hadn't thought of that. Now we need to get rid of the "make-up" lights.
I put in a full ceiling fan and we too use it for drying the laundry on high speed.
