Title: Help! Picture request: Manibloc and drain lines
Post by: Don & Tys on June 02, 2013, 09:36:55 pm
I'm working on putting the utility bay plumbing system back together after getting the black and gray tanks back in, and I'm wondering if anybody out there with a late 90s U270 has any clear pictures of the drain lines and the mental block area without the cover in front of it that you could share? Unfortunately, it has been so long since I took it all apart and I didn't think to get any good pictures before I dismantled it. I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out eventually, but anybody who has pictures might be able to speed that up considerably. Any help would be appreciated! as an example, here is one picture that I have which will be helpful but definitely not definitive... :o

If you don't get some pictures soon I will take some of mine tomorrow. I have a 99 U270.

Here's a 99 320, Don. Probably similar.

Thanks Jor! That is helpful, but I think having a propane water heater might make it different enough to matter.
Still hoping for a 99' U270 with the WTFE floor plan where the waste tanks are forward of the fresh...

Here are a few pictures I just took for you Don. The clear hose below the accumulator is just a water heater drain hose that is stored there. I hope they are helpful.

Thanks Mark! Those are awesome pictures, just like the ones I should have taken. Karma Plus to you! Do you know offhand what the two connections on the top of the Manibloc hook up to? When I took this apart, I guess I never thought it would be more than a year later that I'd be trying to put it back together... I am guessing that the top connection on the cold side of the Manibloc is the output from the water pump, and that the top on the hot side is a loop with the water heater? One thing for sure, by the time I get done figuring this out, I will know how the system works!

Don,
Sorry I don't know off hand but I would assume also they come from the water pump and water heater. Maybe the lower inputs are from the house pump and the upper come from the city water supply. Have fun on your adventure.

Mark,
I just want to say again how helpful those pictures are... Just looking at it now, I see all kinds of clues which will help me figure this out. For instance, the heater duct and by the freshwater tank and pump... I had a vague memory that there was a heater ducts in that compartment and now I can see that that is correct!

The upper pex is the cold water in and hot water out from the water heater.

Bill, thanks a lot! Just so I am clear, the cold water Pex at the top of the manifold goes to the water heater in and the connection for hot on top of the manifold goes from the water heater out?

Don, that is how mine is set up. Both top manifold lines are to-from the water heater.

Don that is correct, when I fixed a leak in my heater,I installed 2 valves in the lines to isolate the heater in the event there was an other leak.
