Title: Dash Heater & Air Conditioner Assembly 1995 U320SE
Post by: D.J. Osborn on June 03, 2013, 12:55:14 pm
I need to access the blower motor in the front assembly. It is very noisy when operated at the highest speed. I know how the dash disassembles, but I would like to have any additional available information on the HVAC assembly. Does anyone know the manufacturer? Are any drawings or detailed pictures available? I think I have seen all of the relevant information that has already been posted here, but I would like to have more details if possible.

Thanks!

DJ, I am not sure about the 320 but my 95 U280 uses a standard GM blower motor that you can get at any auto supply.  Just ask for a 90's Chev Pickup or a 77 Buick.  They are all the same.  In the 280 you remove the panel that covers all the circuit breakers in front of the passenger seat, take out the screws that hold the panel on which the circuit breakers are mounted and blower is behind that panel.  Tight work space, I did mine in an Advance Auto parking lot in about an hour. Pay attention to layout of the screws that hold the blower in the plenum, they are not evenly spaced.
