Title: Charlie Wilson's 1994 Unihome Mobile Office
Post by: BoulderDoug on June 14, 2013, 12:01:57 am
Hi all, we have a chance to buy this U280 diesel . It has no shower or bedroom as it was done as a mobile office.
Is anyone familiar with this coach? The price is very low and that of course causes concern.  Think it was sold auction in Texas recently.
Any ideas also on putting shower in?
300 hp diesel Cummins with 7kw diesel 50 amp gen .

I would call FT and talk with James  he would be able to tell you what they did to build it Wilson's way.  May not even have tanks in it ?

I would recommend approaching it very cautiously. Even if the basic unit is in excellent condition, the cost of major renovation and significant modifications could be substantial. While I have no experience on this sort of remodeling project, every home building/renovating/upgrading project has turned out to be much larger/complicated/expensive/time consuming than I would have originally guessed!
