Title: Folding wood coffee table
Post by: Carol & Scott on June 26, 2013, 10:16:13 pm
OK - I give up.  I have searched and searched.  I thought I had read somewhere on this forum about some of you purchasing a folding coffee table from a small woodworker.  The design was good and the price was OK.  We need a table that we can set up by our couch that can be folded and stored when underway.  What do you guys use.  My DW uses the windowsill behind the couch and we had our first spill - V8.  Went all over the couch and window.  Must find a solution.  HELP please.  :)

Possibly the one Carol mentions in her post here (link is in the middle of the post)?

The Miller's Amazing Table is certainly amazing ... and inventive in design.  However, the price is also amazing.  I settles for a folding wooden "TV tray" type table with jacknife legs at Wallyworld ... for a whole $8.00.  It stows on the bed whan traveling or stands in a corner when we are parked.  And it also does the trick when company arrives!!

Another idea: I have had a Spider Legs table "bookmarked" for a while.  I haven't owned one, but a camping forum acquaintance with a small camper trailer had one of the "portable folding laptop desk tray tables" over a period of years and really liked it.  They make other sizes and shapes as well.
