We usually run off our water tank and for the 1st time ran out of water. After filling water pump would not shut off, although we did have pressure. Replaced the water pump..Not the problem..SO, called Mark H at FOT, replace water fill valve. BUT, since we were to late for Next Day Air from FOT parts and they are closed Friday cannot ship till Monday when we will be on the road..Is it just me or do things seem to always happen on a 4 day holiday weekend? :)) :o
Anyway, I am going to take the water fill valve out and see if I can repair or find the problem. Has anyone done the same and anything I should be aware of before undoing water lines, etc.
I do plan to drain the water tank, refill, to see if this will help (per Mark H).
As always, thanks so much for the great Forum
Jeff, Check out Steve's photos for disassembling.

Wow, you guys are great...answer in 9 minutes for everything I could possible need
Thanks Barry and Steve...
Think I will wait till Monday to take apart....DW would not be happy with me if we had NO water for four days.... :))
Hi Jeff,
On my coach, if the water fill valve accidently is left on/open when the water pump is on it will run for ever.

OK...another reason I like the saying......"fixing these machines is easy...finding out what to fix is )&*^(*&&&"
Replaced water pump, nope-same problem
Took water fill apart, twice. nope-same problem
OK..think...think some more....ran out of water for the first time, but sure we had plenty...??? water pump runs and we have water pressure for kitchen, shower, toilet, etc...
No problem with water pressure if we turn off pump and work off shore water...
Check valve replaced two years ago...couldn't fill on board water tank...OK, undo water line to outside water supply and turn of water pump...shot the water from our tank two feet in the air...will not repeat what I thought...
Luckily, we have an Ace hardward store a block away..and they have the check valve..
Luckily, Dave K is next to us and has the tools to replace a couple fittings...
Changed out....I now carry an extra check valve..
Luckily, FOT parts couldn't send next day air the water check valve and solenoid ($300-$400) till Monday so Dave and I trouble shooted the problem. Already broke, can't break it any more as one of my good friends say..
Hope this helps someone in the future
