Title: Oil tracks from center of front wheel
Post by: Dan Stansel on July 07, 2013, 08:27:54 pm
Got to get appointment tomorrow at FOT to have my front wheel seals looked at.  Someone on this forum said something to make me look and ck and sure enough oil streaks around the center hub/ not much but enough. With the hot weather I am going to get the  cooling system cked out and get my aux compressor and or leaks cked.  So off to Nacogdoches soon.  DAN

Service Business must be good at FOT. Could not get in until July 22.  That's about 2 weeks out.

Why not go now and park in their RV lot? Plenty of water and good electricity. If you are there and they are aware you are there, then they will come and get you early if there are cancellations. Worked for me!

Dan, That's a similar lead time for our appointments at FOT. One time we were in a pinch for a repair between trips and they gave us an earlier appointment. They (Wayne) provided some extra effort to get some rebuilt parts in a timely fashion and got us back on the road for our scheduled Christmas trip.

FOT has recently become a bit more strict on enforcing their campground policies, but if you are waiting for "first opening or appointed date" I would expect no problems. If you are willing to hang in NAC before your appointment, you could probably get in earlier. It seems to me that they schedule work according to what they can confidently complete, and fill in with "we'll leave it till you can get to it" and "need it fixed right now" repairs.

Steven and JD:  You are right.  I am not planning to go until the 1st of August as that is when the heat in Texas becomes HOT for old guys.  So I have time but I will call Joshua back and tell him I can come in with days notice.  I plan to go in on Sunday night (great parking hookups) and be there in line at 7:30 am on Monday 22th.  DAN
