Title: airbag leveling system
Post by: Dan Noble on July 20, 2013, 03:10:09 pm
Hi,

Trying to level my 89 GV U280 with the airbag leveling system and the 3 levers on the floor on left of driver's seat.  I can get the GV leveled, but as soon as I move the lever back to the center, the bags go back to ride mode.  The manual talks about ride mode and park mode, but not how to put the GV in park mode?

Any help appreciated.  Thanks

If you do a search of the forum, a few days ago someone had the same issue and various links were posted to the instruction pages from the owners manual and a personal guide.

To sum it up, put the levers where it is level and LEAVE THEM THERE.  Pulling into center IS travel mode.  Never level the front (middle) first.  I'd link to the other post, but I'm not that good.  Maybe a moderator will do just that.

Yes, that confused me too at first. When parked you move the levers and leave them. Then, when breaking camp center the levers. On this topic, I just installed a pair of these:

Perfect!  Got it leveled.  I wasn't getting the part about keeping the levers in position.  The directions in the manual are a bit lacking- but not you guys!

Thanks for the patience to keep answering the same questions for us newbies.
