Title: No picture
Post by: rbark on July 20, 2013, 04:02:22 pm
My JVC monitor has been working fine since we got the coach, until two days ago.
I get displays for all the tanks, LP, temp and direction but when I change modes to display the rear view camera I get a blank screen.
Have found all the componets for the system and checked for loose or broken wires but found none.
Can the camera just die, or maybe the camera modulator be the culprit?
I'm at a loss as what to do at this point.
Would like to find out what's wrong before I just buy a new system.
Any thoughts and suggestions will be much appreciated.
  Richard B.

I did that once and forgot to turn on the 12 volt switch by the door.  DAN

Dan, Hah, I wish it was that simple! One of the first things I checked.
Have it narrowed down to either the camera or the camera modulator.
Is there a way to test the camera to see if it works? If it does, then the modulator would be bad. ( I think)

Richard, are you sure it's not working?  Maybe the black screen is the back wall of your storage garage!  Or maybe Betty has hung your laundry over the back! Lol!

Haha, you are too funny! No wall, no laundry, just a blank screen.
When are we going to see you guys again?

Buy Radio Shack adapters and connect your camera wire directly to your TV to check camera operation.

Brett, I took the camera and modulator to Radio Shack to get an adaptor. The guy said they didn't have anything that matched my cable. I have the Panasonic camera. Plug has 8
pins. They said to try Frys Electronics for the cable.
