Title: AC Analog thermostat
Post by: Gary Bouland (RIP) on July 25, 2013, 07:22:57 pm
The original thermostat on my rear AC has failed ( Again ).  In the past I have sent this to a Bill Hendrix in Erie CO and he has repaired it.  I tried to call him but his phone is not in service.  Does anyone know if he is still repairing these and if he is still in Erie.
Secondly, Does anyone have an old thermostat that they would like to sell ?
Thanks

Gary, what thermostat do you need? If its the old gray one, I have a spare or two. Send me a PM if you need one.

This AM met Bill Hendrix and he quickly diagnosed a bad switch on the thermostat board and in a few minutes repaired it.
When I reinstalled it AC would not work.  Bill jumps in does some diagnoses, comes up with a new board for the ceiling part of the AC, installs it and charged me a very fair price.
If you have a thermostat problem SEE BILL.
In addition I got to see his playhouse/garage, impressive.  AND Bill is a member of the greatest generation and one nice guy.

On Edit
Bill supplied a board for the rear AC that allows the fan to shut off when temp is reached, never did before and I love it. Fan ran all the time.  If I understood Bill he said that Dometic had made a running change and there was no way to identify what board you had.
