Title: Removing Closet Shelf
Post by: jor on July 31, 2013, 11:59:42 am
How the heck does this shelf come out? Does it just pop up on one side? It's in the closet in a 95 300. I don't see any screws anywhere. Thanks.

No screws even in the cedar panels on the sides? If there are pull the side panels and see if it lifts out.

No screws anywhere, Ken. I recall taking the same type shelf out of our 320 and it was straightforward (screws). This one is clean - top, bottom and side (adjoining closet, other side is TV).

OK, I got it out. Strange way to construct access to AV stuff. The top layer of the shelf was stapled on all four sides and even glued on one side. Had to rip apart the shelf to get at the screws. I think I'll just affix it with Velcro when it goes back in.
