Title: Ice maker connections
Post by: Jimmyjnr on August 06, 2013, 07:15:11 pm
Installed new pipework to our ice maker , thanks to everyone for their help, since it was disconnected when I bought the coach I am unsure of the electrical connections on the water valve ??

I tried to take a picture, but it was too dark.  The single red connector/black wire goes to the furthest inside post, the double white goes to the other one, the closest to the outside of the coach.  That is the way it is on my newly-replaced (and working) Icemaker valve.

That coil on the water valve is not polarity sensitive, so can go to either of the posts.

I left the water line disconnected from the ice maker and use it as a freezer only.  We dont use many ice cubes and the extra freezer space is very useful.

On my side by side dometic I am going to have it wired so the ice maker runs on its lift up arm and the compressor on the lower power switch.  My freezer is cold enough not to need the compressor normally.
