Karl,  If the key fob is just not working open it up, take out the battery and clean the battery holder contacts with the eraser end of a pencil.  FOT billed me for most of an hour trying to fix mine and told me they were unrepairable and unreplaceable.  5 minutes with a pencil and they have been working for almost a year.

Karl,
I have a 99 model and wanted to get a spare.  I contacted FT and was told the company was no longer in business, but there is a conversion to the other brand avail.  I dont remember the price, but it was enough to discourage me as the 1 I have still works.

I do not remember the name but I put on the new system. I liked the old one better but it works and I put on a door keypad too.

Keyless Entry Replacement Remotes | Key Fobs | Car Entry Remote (http://www.keylessentryremotefob.com/)
I bought one from this site for my 2000 and works great have three now. Just type in the number on the back of the fob in the search, right on they have two more like it.

Michael,
Do you have to program these remotes or are they ready to go?

Not sure if one company is better than another with these FOBS but:

back in March, I mentioned what another FT owner had professed.  He was happy with the service and FOBS for his Foretravel from

Keyless Entry Remotes, Car Remote Replacements, Key Fobs, Keys, &more! (http://www.remotesandkeys.com/?gclid=CNel3r_vorUCFQY5nAod_E4A5w)

Just a follow up to keyless entry.  When we purchased our coach, the keyless entry was not working so we did an upgrade to a key pad and key fob.  For around $400 Canadian.  The brains for the old where in the front passanger side panel.  A label was on the back of the old system so the wire swap was very easy.  We also added the keyless entry to the exterior.  Also wanted a way to control the air step so we installed a latching relay and one of the outputs on the new unit can now also fold our step up when we are stopped.

Mine was not working at a distance of over 2 ft from the front door.  Of course I did go swimming with the fob in my pocket which might have caused some problems.  Anyway, removed the battery, sprayed with CorrosionX, waited a few hours, installed a new battery and now it works from about 20 feet away.  I'm happy.
On our 2005 the alarm system is a Trimark alarm controller.  If yours is the same give them a call at 800-477-0343.

Much earlier in this thread I commented about cleaning the battery contacts in the fob with a pencil eraser.  We do it every time they start to get a bit dodgy. A wee bit of dielectric grease helps too.  Ours are almost 16 years old now and will lock/unlock the coach from at least 50 ft.    Most of the time.
