I was asked to post a few pics of the Progressive EMS-HW50C install FOT did for our 2005 coach.
Most EMS discussions I've see on the forum have the unit being installed under the bed. Ours was installed in a different location. The EMS was placed in the 2nd driver's side bay behind the front wheel which on our coach houses the charger/inverter, aux air pump, HWH systems, transfer switch and a few other items.
I labeled the main components in the first pic. The EMS was mounted vertically. You cannot see in the pic but the transfer switch output loops around to the bottom of the EMS. I chose to have the remote display placed in the wet bay. The soap dispenser was removed and that location was used for the EMS display. This way when I connect to shore power I can verify that all looks good right there without having to run inside.
Mark,
My transfer switch is under the bed, unlike your newer coach. So my install of the EMS under the bed makes sense for my coach as your install does for your coach.
I have the remote inside where I can see it all the time as I am interested in the amp draw on each leg out of curiosity most of the time but when on 30 amp shore power to see if I can run something else.
When plugging in, if the EMS does not like the incoming power it will not put the coach on-line till the problem is cleared.
Mark, what is that Black&Decker thing plugged into the outlet ?

It is an Ultrasonic Pest Rodent Bug Spider Repeller ::) - trying it out and so far no bugs in the wet bay but time will tell. It is a cheap experiment.
