My coach does not have a working low air pressure alarm. I suspect the alarm is controlled by the blue box inside the dash which also provides input to the dash air gauges. I believe the blue box is no longer available.
Anybody have a simple fix for this?
Well Jeff ---- If I was where you are, I would disconnect the air line coming into the "box" and add a "T" to which I would add a generic pressure switch of the proper range and pressure and connect the alarm to that switch. If you have a schematic, you might check and see if there are other functions performed by that switch (probably not). Have you done the "check bulbs and fuses, etc." trick? Have a great day ---- Fritz
I had one gauge that would not read over 70 on my 01. They do not make the SW gauge any longer so I had a T put in and then ran a VDO mechanical gauge up to the dash. I had to leave the electronic one in to prevent the buzzer and level system light from going on but the gauges do not work so I rely on the new VDO ones.
I think you guys are right - I'll "T" in a line and run it to a switch and new buzzer. The SW gauges do work still but it's only a matter of time before they get replaced with mechanical VDO gauges. Have to check further, but I think the original buzzer is kaput. I do still get a chime from "level on" but the chime for attempting to drive off with the parking brake on is MIA also - don't ask me how I know ;)
