We're replacing all the halogen puck light bulbs. All are done except the one on the bottom of the cabinets over the driver seat. The bulb is good, verified in another puck light. I thought this was controlled by the switch with the green led at the entry. No luck. Have tried all three switches on the right as you enter the coach, and tried the switches on the cabinet over the passenger seat. Time to replace the fixture?
While searching for this switch, noticed the "ground lights" label on a switch beside the passenger seat. Since we have the switch, do we actually have ground lights? What and where are they?
Thanks
Our light above the driver is controlled by a rocker switch to the left of the drive under the window. Ours does not always work but if I tap the light once or twice, it will come on if the rocker switch is on.
Ground effect lighting on our coach is by a string of lights along the bottom edge of our coach, passenger side and controlled by a switch at the passenger side. If the LED light is green then the ground lighting is on. it's a nice light if you are outside at night.
That halogen in panel to drivers left that includes boost switch
A lot of the lights in the ground lighting were already burnt out in my 2002 when I bought it in 2005. There are two strings. One short string is under the step in front of the passenger front wheel, the other long string (I think about 16' in my coach) starts behind the wheel. Rope Light - 2 Wire 3/8" Crown Rope Light & Accessories - Action Lighting?, Inc. (http://www.actionlighting.com/2-wire-3-8-crown-rope-light-accessories-1/) is a good source to buy a roll of replacement lighting if you find a lot of them burnt out on your coach. I replaced mine back then and they have lasted MUCH longer already than the OEM stuff. I used the soft plastic loops they sell to mount the pieces, and some small screws...after taking off the poprivets (bad plan for lighting that burns out).
Try headlight switch, similar to a car's dome light. That light comes on in our coach by rotating the headlight switch counter clockwise...
On ours the switch for it is labeled "map Light" and is on the console at the driver's left elbow.
mine is like Barry's (headlight switch) rotate like dome light on car.
Same as in my 2002. It is a rocker switch with an orange label "Map Light".
I believe the older models use the headlight switch to control that light, while the newer models use a dedicated rocker switch. You'll need to determine whether yours falls into the "older" or "newer" category.
"ground lights" are not on our coach but have thought about installing an LED waterproof strip along the bottom of the bay doors framimg (lowerest tubing frame) to come on when side lights are on. Would not use any power and kinda look sharp like the big rigs. I would use orange on both sides. Should be simple to hook up to a present side marker light.

Monti and Brad - you had the right answer for the halogen in our coach, rocker switch labeled "map light" on the console to the driver's left. Many thanks, and another "duh" moment for me.
Still haven't solved the ground lights. The green led above the "ground lights" switch never comes on. No rope lights evident before or after the wheels but this is inspection without going under the coach. Parked on crushed rock right now, will inspect from under the coach in about a week when we move to a concrete pad.
We discovered the curbside ground lights on our coach totally by accident. There is a switch next to the door and adjacent to the copilot seat ... just alongside the switch for the step cover. Had NO idea what it did, until one night we realized there was illumination under the coach!! Huh?? Fiddled with switches until we found it. We must have turned it on during the day and thought it was a dud.
I just went out and checked. My coach also has the green light above the switch, which does light, so I am thinking there is no power to the circuit. Your 12 volt ciruit diagram may show you where the circuit breaker is. When you do get power to it, unless there is some physical damage, at least some of the lights should come on, even if some are burnt out. They are NOT like Christmas tree lights...one out, all out.
I had the same thought about rope lights - some should light if they're there and have power. Took another look and part (or all) of the problem may be an upgrade by previous owner. He had Xtreme do the step conversion. Looks like no reasonable place for ground lights forward of the tire with the new steps. They may have removed all ground lights at the time. Don't have any of the electrical schematics. Will contact James Triana next week, see if I can get them. He was very helpful when I needed schematics for the air system.
Didn't miss the ground lights until we knew they were supposed to be there. Now it's irritating not to have them. Would be nice to use them instead of the porch light when we take the dogs out.
When Xtreme did the step conversion on our '02, the ground lights were not an issue ... can't see any reason to remove or disconnect them for that.
After doing a lot of trouble shooting on mine, I found a burned out fuse in the panel at the foot of the bed.

and the ground lights work! Mike Harbordt, in a PM, described the ground lights location in a way even I could understand. After verifying they're still there, checked and replaced the fuse at the foot of the bed as Rich described it. Thanks to all.
