Seeing some things not seen on the tour we took in Jan.  Interesting look at Foretravel and Fleetwood as the same things are being done at each plant.

Glad they showed the major upgrades on a Foretravel.

Thanks ALL, for the show schedule "Heads Up".

I finally got to see the show tonight.
Great narrative, great segmentation and I thought that Tyle, in particular, did a great job.
The relative areas of strength and the points, that set Foretravel above the competition, were addressed in quiet, professional statements without being slick or overbearing.  Of course, if one were solely focused on glitz and bling versus substance and quality, one could fail to recognize the elegance of the IH.

FYI, you have seen the show's featured FT coach before...................last March:

Proud of the FT marque and what it represents,

Finally fired up the DVR and watched the show. It reinforced what I already knew; SOB's are built like motorhomes. Foretravels are built like yachts.

Saw this episode on the Travel Channel under "Extreme RV's" last night.  Hope this increases the image of Foretravel as I think a lot of people see it as a localized company. Foretravel has got to increase market share to have any production.  Putting all their eggs in upper end coaches hits only about 10% of the potential market.  When will they realize that they need to go after the other 90%.  Maybe they want to stay small and just be the best at what they do.  DAN

While this may appear to be what would be good during a good economic time, Foretravel right now has a market of high end coaches selling. There are many manufactures at the low end and to little consumers buying. What could be the possible profit with a lower end coach? As the economic indicators show that it will take a dive again soon, it is better off making coaches to those who have disposable income to spend. I am sure with the brilliant minds running Foretravel, this has been considered. Thanks goodness for the present owners who turned around Foretravel in 2005 and made this a company that survived four straight years of million dollar losses preceding their acquisition. I know the current owners of Foretravel will not make the same mistakes as two other brands of high end coaches did and think they could produce a mass number of coaches and dealers, just to see them sit and be sold for below building cost.

If you think about what the new owners went through money wise just to keep the doors open. And  as you know Big money was what it took to do it . People smart enough to view this business as being profitable in the long term just had to have a plan . If building lower end product was going to get them there , I think that is what we would be seeing . So building upper end coaches is not nearly as competitive as the market is not stacked full . This has got to  be the smart choice for them . Things change in every market and the ones that don't change in this business  are history . I am very happy with my present coach . I feel we need to support the name brand and the present owners . They hung it out to dry for the Foretravel name . They just got to make it . Where would we be without them ?          Brad Metzger

Hence the gel coated white Fiberglass body like almost every boat in the harbor.

I talked to Greg about this at the GV. The issue is the cost of their chassis. That makes the overall cost of the coach high enough that many RV dealers do not have the financing to floorplan them. I was at TN RV a while back and Rodger said those two coaches cost more then all the rest of my inventory.  They are producing shells on a freightliner chads is for a converter so time will tell but they are front engine and designed to be blood mobiles and dental clinics.

The issue is at the price point it would be better to go back to the factory stores again but time will tell.
