Title: HWH PARTS
Post by: Lon and Cheryl on October 07, 2013, 02:39:07 am
I would like to rebuild the HWH air manifolds (6 packs).

Can the solenoid O rings be purchased from a local source or are they exclusive and must be ordered from HWH?

How much does HWH charge for replacement units?

Whats the best way to contact HWH if I need to order parts. I read about the long wait to get service advice, is parts ordering a simpler matter?

Steve and Jerry Whiteaker confirmed the o-ring sizes for local purchase (6 of each size per manifold)

Kit RAP6554 is the HWH replacement "kit" of 6 small and 6 larger diameter o-rings and was around $20 from FOT parts.

Last winter I rebuild my manifolds.  One solenoid was replaced also.  HWH are easy to work with; nice folks.  There are two pressure switches, the low pressure ones on the front manifold, that HWH does not supply but FT does. andy1

I took my o rings to a hydraulic repair shop and they had a tree to measure the o rings and they were very cheap through them. A lot less than through hwh

I used NAPA for a couple of "O" rings on our diesel primer for $0.10 each. They have the same tree as a hydraulic shop to measure the rings for the HWH unless they are a weird size.

I got a package of 40 #15s (the small ones) and a package of 10 #28s (large ones) at Fastenal for something less than $10 total as I recall.

I just bought one in June thru RnR and they charged me $195.95 for an extend solenoid...that did not solve my problem.

On a brighter note, I emailed my "slide creeps in" problem to HWH yesterday and already Joe Portelli has gotten back to me....sent me an instruction sheet as to how to use an "Isolation Kit" that they apparently sell to initially determine what might be the problem..instead of just throwing parts at it.  Has anyone used one of those...made up such a kit...bought one from HWH?

I heard back from HWH today. The Solenoids are $109 each. I think I will take apart and clean first.
