Over 50% original rope lite bulbs were burned out about 10 years ago, so FT replaced all my undercounter rope lights under warranty. Lights again gradually began to burn out and now less than 50% of them are glowing. Considering replacement with LED strip lights. Read/Heard variety of opinions good/bad. If anyone on the forum has had any experience with the installation of these LED strips; I would look forward with pleasure to your opinion.
Check out ElementalLED. They have LED lighting in flexible strips with self adhesive backing. You can cut to any length, add connectors at either end. Most are 12v dc.

You can get different colors, different temperatures (warm white, cool white), different intensities, some are dimable, some are mist resistant, some water proof.
I use these in cabinets where I want display lighting and under counter applications. Warm white seems to look best to me. By the foot, 16.4 ft spools and 100 ft spools.

Tim - When I talked to David Flanagan last month while at FOT he said for remods they are now using the 15" strips and wiring so that if a strip goes out then just that one can be replaced. Will do dimable, colors, etc.
