Looked but couldnt find out.

Does the rear heater have a vent to utility and water bay?

One or the other does.  It seems to vary with models.  My U225 was the rear, but the U295 is the front.

It must depend on floor plan, also. Our 1997 U295 uses the rear furnace for basement heat. There is a 2" duct into the bay with the water pump and a 2" duct into the base with the dump valves. The duct to the water pump just dumps from the end of the duct. The outlet in the bay with dump valves has a register with a directional "ball" outlet.

JD,

Looks like I better double check my info.  I found the vent into the water tank side and water heater, and the damper valve on the dump side as well.  I think that I read or was told the front did the basements.  Will  be finding out this weekend as I replace the water heater for sure.
