Title: stove burner grate rubber grommets
Post by: RRadio on October 27, 2013, 12:40:47 pm
This could be the stoopidest post ever, but it fooled me for a few days. I thought I'd lost one of those little rubber grommets that hold the grate over the burner on the stove top, then after a few days I lost another one... hmmm ...As I lifted up the stove top to relight the pilot yesterday I discovered the little grommets had been accidentally pushed down through their hole in the stove top and were still under there waiting for me to find them... so I thought I'd mention this in case someone else was thinking they'd lost a grommet.

I had a similar thing happen to us. It turned out that my sister-in-law was cleaning and was taking up the grommets as she was cleaning the stove. I found them in the vacuum cleaner bag when the lightbulb went on.

Yeah, I was kinda relieved to find the grommets. I couldn't imagine how I was losing them. When I washed the stove top and pushed the grates back on afterward I must have accidentally forced the little black rubber grommet down through its hole.

That same thing happened to me in our previous coach.  You CAN buy replacement grommets, thank goodness!  I would find mine under the stove top.  they get floppy when they get some age, I think.

I got the floppies also, but I'm to big to get lost.
