Along with updating my utility bay layout I wanted to add new tank monitoring. I have found the SeeLevel system and the Tank-Edge system.
I have read the posts on the SeeLevel system but did not find much on the Tank-Edge system. Has anyone tried that system? I like the fact that it is Coast Guard approved.

Kent Speers installed the SeeLevel in the U225 that I bought, and have sold two years later. The system work perfectly. When I can upgrade my U295, it will be SeeLevel.
I put in the sea level too. Works great.
Thanks, after the research, I ordered a See Level also. Just waiting on it to come so I can finish my utility bay clean up project. I am going to put the display panel in the utility bay. Man, there is a lot of stuff behind those two utility panels.

Another vote for See Level. I put ours in about a year ago. Works great. And someday I'll even install the spare read out panel in the utility compartment...
Dave, as yours is close in age to ours did you just remove the old metal tape one and put on the See level and connect to original wires??

I did not order the extra sensors to allow total measurement of the tanks. I will just measure low fresh water and high black and grey tank levels. After all, those tank indications are what is important, correct? My plan is to mount the strips to allow another day or so of use before action is needed ( fill up or dump). Has anyone taken that approach?

When Kent Speers did the U225 I bought, he explain he did only the getting low part of fresh, and getting full part of black and grey. Worked great. But you can put one strip on, and then another one above, hook them together and then really know if it matters to you.
Another thing that I remember when Bill Chaplin did his, is that a single tank strip only needs a single wire to the control screen. As I remember he used one existing wire for each function, and did not pull any new wires from anywhere.
Replacing our tank level sensors are on the 'to do' list as the OE is still in place but works very intermittently. With the SeeLevel upgrade is the new read out panel attached on top of the old monitor or is it installed elsewhere? As was previously mentioned I'm assuming you can use the existing wiring..
Mounting the See Level display in the utility bay will require new wires for me. Next project will be to remove the existing Audit system display and install a new rear camera (and maybe side cameras) and dash display.
After much looking, I have not found the existing level sensors or wiring on any tank. I guess they are there somewhere.

What I have seen was to remove the old CRT, and mount the new panel on a piece of textured plastic where the monitor was removed. Yes you can use the existing wiring without pulling all new feeds.
On the 02 I think they are sensors that are screwed in fittings and then have a modular cord like a telephone cord plugged onto them. they are a hexagon about 1 1/4 inches in diameter. The sewage and gray sensors are probably behind the panel in the water bay and the fresh would be on the passenger side near the water pump area. Hope this helps
I use a SensaTank RV 100 system. I used the existing wires, and mounted the monitor panel above the tanks in the dining area.
Thanks Red Tractor. I think I am starting to figure this out. Mr. Hatfield's recent post on the "Waste Valve" discussion had some pictures that are similar to my layout. He detailed the layout of his utility bay and labeled the sensors. I don't know how those sensors work in their location. I would have thought the sensors would need to be on top of the tanks, not in the drain line.
At least I know where the wires are.
I believe they are a pressure transducer of some sort. Tanks need to be completely empty to change them and there is a calibration process involved (it's in the Javalina manual - involves filling and emptying all 3 tanks since you cannot calibrate a single sensor on its own Adjusting Tank Monitor on an Audit 2U9 (http://www.beamalarm.com/Documents/adjusting_tank_monitor_on_an_audit_2U9.html) ).
Not sure of the specifics but we had FOT recalibrate our tanks, which meant they did empty all three and fill all three. I neglected to look at the monitor when we pulled the coach out of the bay and parked at the FOT campground, set up, went to dinner, came back to shower and find the Gray and Black tanks full! Unhook everything, drive over to the dump stations, empty the tanks and head back and hook everything back to shower. PITA!!!!

No, I removed the old metal tape but didn't use the original wires, since I put the new See Level readout back across from the kitchen (and right near the bathroom :)) ). Easy to run the wire up from the sensors in that position, too.
