Not yet, but you sure have a great question.  When the relays work you can hear them click.  I will make some notes about where mine are, while they work and I can hear them.

We will see our coach this weekend hopefully.  But someone with a 40' front door model should be able to jump in with an answer.

the bath-bedroom relay is behind the bedroom tv.
the water pump relay is behind the fiberglass panel
in the bay.

Wayne,

On our '97 U-320 the relay is hid in the wall above the microwave. To get to it you have to remove a trap door that is located in our upper corner cabinet in the bathroom. Your location may vary due to the difference in floor plans.

Mine is under the upper cabinetry in the kitchen, on the passenger side, right next to the kitchen switch for the dual-controlled light.  I took the over-counter light fixture apart to get in to it.  You can actually feel and hear that the relay is in there...on my 2002 U270.

Our coach is kitchen on driver side.  The relay is above the microwave on the left hand side of the cabinet behind a removable panel.  Easy to replace when you find it!!

Sometimes the only thing the same on these Foretravels are the name.  So many models, years, floor plans and custom builds.

thanks bill and ricki
it's location is the same as yours. I guess people should listen
for the sound of the relays clicking while they are still working,
and note there location.

When I thought I needed another for my water pump circuit, I searched online and found the VW Relay part number:  111 941 583 (or 98-9437-B)  I bought one from ebay.

That is NOT the relay used in my 2002, but it would be an equivalent replacement and they have a 25A capacity.  I can't give you the name of the relay that FT provided in 2002 as it is buried.  It was also very difficult to source.

VW uses its dimmer switch to control this relay which changes the headlights from low to high.
