We have had our Whirlpool electric refrigerator for about two years and it continues to be one of our best upgrades. We have the fridge/freezer Chaney 00985 wireless thermometer and on occasion see fridge bottom vegetable drawer to be too cold, and some vegies have been frozen. We see that the cold air falling from freezer coils goes down inside back wall, slips around the bottom shelf rear space, and enters the vegie drawer, which probably causes the drawer to get too cold.
We took out the bottom shelf and made it deeper, added a length of wide clear packing tape across the rear edge. The shelf now does not have the open gap and the vegie drawer no longer gets the back wall cold air. The end result is a better balance where when freezer is at about 5 degrees, vegie drawer in now about 40 degrees.
@Barry A true red-neck engineer would have used duct tape but I like your solution better. :)

Our Whirlpool only has one compressor and one thermostat located in fridge. Cooling unit is in freezer and there is an opening from freezer to fridge for cold air to drop through. Two thermostats must be much better and wonder if you have two cooling units or two evaporators. We now read 5 & 35 degrees. Temp readings are very dependent on where the temp sensor is located as top and bottom, front and rear have quite different temps at any one time.
Barry, I just put a Fridge-Fix in our Dometic with RV Cooling Unit Warehouse replacement cooling unit. It's only been in a couple of days and I won't know for a year if it really works well. However, it does appear to really even out the temperatures throughout the compartment according to readings from the IR gun. Also, it looks like I'm getting uniformly cooler temperatures for a given set point on the Dometic control. With unit set on 3 (of 5), freezer is a -1F and refrigerator is 37-40 throughout. Box is currently empty except for a gallon of water in a bottle.
The Fridge-Fix is designed for the absorption systems, but looks like it would do a great job of circulating air in any refrigerator. Fridge-Fix RV Refrigerator Fan (http://www.shop.smartrvproducts.com/Fridge-Fix-For-Dometic-Americana-Blue-Glow-LED-Lights-10001.htm)
When our veggies began to get too cold in the bottom drawer, I just put them on the top shelf. Use the bottom ones for meats and cheeses, that I want really cold. No tape or modification needed!
