I'm in the process of figuring out how I want to go digital and reconfigure/upgrade my AV system. For one piece of the setup I'd like to place a coax switch before the "OTA antenna in" port on my Dish 211k receiver. One input to the switch would be the OTA antenna cable and the second input would be the cable TV coax from the wet bay.
Will the 211k scan the cable TV coax feed like it does the OTA antenna feed? Does anyone have any experience with this type of setup?
Unfortunately, I don't have any campground cable source to test this out. If this will not work I'll have to find another way to connect the cable TV feed as it comes in handy in some situations.
Mark,
What you describe is how we have ours set up. The only thing that I would do differently is to spring for a coax switch with a remote.

That's great news that the 211k will do what I want. Now I can figure the other switch/splitter combos for the audio & video configuration I have planned. Thanks for blazing the trail.
