So I saw the thread for the kitchen cabinets but don't see much info about space utilization. Here are a couple ideas, please share.
I store a 50' 50A cord under the Joey bed the yellow is a 50' 20a cord.
I store the extra step in the step compartment.

Gary B - PVC post idea in the bay
Brilliant!
I never thought of my folder fitting into the under step area. We keep two pair of sandals in there now.
I just "found" space in a bay, for my light weight rolled up windshield screens. Between a white plastic cover over electric things and the side steel rail of the hanging overhead drawers I mounted two lengths of light steel angle brackets. Then cut a piece of 1/4" luan, about 9" wide, 48" long as the shelf. Have safe place for the wash brush and rolled covers.
And I added a shelf along side my diesel tank like several others have done for misc things.
Thanks Dave
You may not be able to see the angle that hold the step in place so not to bump the air hoses.
Our coaches are different models but the bays seem similar.
If one would want to use the space from muffler removal a 21" from the body panel to the resonator by 21" high by 28" long - how much heat protection would be needed IF I wanted to put in a compartment?
I have looked at that area since taking ours out and I do not think much would be needed. I already have one in the inspection opening behind drivers side rear wheel and it is Aluminum frame and ply box sprayed on the outside with rubber undercoating. I have 1 shelf in it and keep all my electrical and sattelite cables in it. Handy. Another one next to it would be even better now that muffler has gone, but that would require cutting a hole in the body panel and getting a door to suit.

I looked at my panel.. and am wondering if i could just mount a box to the framing and hinge the the top lip of the exterior panel for the door?
Here's what I did with the space gained by installing the resonator.
Exactly the same type of stuff im looking to move.
John, I haven't driven far with this set up yet. I don't believe there will be much heat from the exhaust when driving because of air flow from speed and not being enclosed in a box type of container. Didn't feel i needed a top or a piece where the door closes either. When door is closed, none of the stuff can come out that way.
It's all plastic stuff anyway.

Our coach has a stair compartment that has proven very useful for a lot of my hand tools that I am always looking for.
I put some stretchy bands on the lift up cover to hold some lightweight tools.

Was thag standard equipment.
OR dkd you modify it?
Looks like if you have a stair it coukd be a good mod.
Thanks!
John, that's standard on our coaches, don't know what year they first started for the U320s don't know if the other models have this feature.

I have told Donna more than once how valuable it is to read this forum. We bought this Coach in Aug. And I had no idea there was a step storage area! Now I have something to do today. Thanks Barry for the picture..

Bet older models like mine have the same steps.. another project - Yeah!
Our 93 U300 does not have lift-up steps. The small air compressor is in the space under the steps, accessible from the basement.
David,
My compress mounted on a shelf behind the fule tank.
The stairs are enclosed, looks like I might be able to just cut out the step tread, install a piano hinge and use the space. (Another use of my sonic saw)
ASSUMING: its closed in, and it is as it looks
