I would like to know if anyone has replaced there DuoTherm covers with the ones from Icon Direct, they say they are made of a heavier material.

Bill:
I have to replace both of my shrouds in the spring. I have looked at the Icon. The seem to have the best price for the 2, 89 each. FT sells them for $130 each. I do see they say they are heavier than OEM.
The coach is now covered up and temps are cold with that white stuff on the ground, so in the spring.
However if anyone out there has anything known bad with these by all means let us know.
Thanks
I replaced mine with the Airxcel | Maxxair | Tuff/Maxx Replacement Shroud (http://www.maxxair.com/products/shroud.php)]. They advertise it as the last a/c shroud that you will ever have to buy, with a Limited Lifetime Guarantee to the Original Purchaser. Coleman Air Conditioner Shrouds for Sale - PPL Motor Homes (http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-air-conditioners/coleman-air-conditioner-shroud.htm?utm_source=google&utm_medium=partsshopping&utm_campaign=partsfeed&gclid=CISW-bKmlbsCFSHNOgodo3gAPg) has a heck of a deal on them right now.
Pat,
Those show as for Coleman A/Cs, not Dometics.
We replaced both of our in June of this year. Camco - also advertised as heavier than OEM - My guess is that they are all made by the same company. Lifetime warrantee and the price was OK. $60.00+/- I think. Went on easy - just had to make sure that we got the ones for the Heat Pump as they have additional holes on the side.
No good above 95mph??? Hmm there is a story to be told there!
I replaced both of mine with the Icon Direct models with the vents and am very pleased with them. I think they were actually slightly thinner but a higher quality material than the originals and a bit more flexible/less brittle. Fit perfectly.
Xtreme replaced both when the roof paint job was done in 2012. Donno what they use as replacements.
Scott, can you give me the part # and where you bought the Camco shrouds.
Thanks Bill W.
