When I installed the Progressive Industries EMS box under the bed I chose the easy mount for its remote, right there at the base of the bed. Today I moved it to a more useful location, the wet bay wall. Now I can see if we have good power as soon as I plug in.
In order to do this I needed another 5' of data cable. I didn't have any luck finding any of this data cable; everyone thought it was common phone line. Anyhow, I called Progressive and the helpful tech told me what I needed to do. For anyone in the same straights, it's an easy fix. Just buy the appropriate length of 4-wire telephone line. Then cut off one and and install a new one with the opposite wire configuration. One side is yellow/green/red/black, then the other will be black/red/green/yellow. Easy peasy.
In our rig I was able to run the data cable through the closet floor and just drill a hole right into the wet bay.

Good to know.
Jor,
Funny, I did just the opposite. Relocated it from the wet bay to the base of the bed so I can manage load better when I am on 30A service.

I moved mine to the same panel that has the factory installed voltage displays and power controls in the galley area.
