Well Bill Chaplin had a meet and greet last Sat. night. He had posted this in the Remodel Step thread started by Acousticart.
"A Meet & Greet meeting cocktail hour (S) will be held tonight in Arlington/ Pantego TX @ about 8:00 PM till ??? ( John does not arrive till 19:45 )
Meet John Haygarth and Don Fera in person !!
A gathering will also be held in Alvarado TX on Sunday morning about 10 till Don leaves for Extreme."
So with four Foretravels parked down south at "Camp Chaplin" we had a gathering that evening here in Arlington at our hostess Jo's house. We enjoyed a table full of snack foods, hot and cold, and drinks of one's choices. The event was put together in small part due to John and Ruth Haygarth coming to Town. They were here pick up and drive home Casper the U240, that Jerry and Coleen Elkins delivered the day before to the warehouse. In addition Don and Tys Fera were there finishing projects and heading east to NAC.

Shown, left to right.
Either Jo, our hostess, or Bill Chaplin (U300, 40'), Jenny and John Kerbs (with a new 1997 U320 40' to replace their 93 U280 40"), John and Ruth Haygarth picking up Casper to add to their fleet, Dave Cobb (me) U295 36', Tys and Don Fera with his ground up restoration (U270 36").
Lots of tales, talks, discussions, and laughs. Everyone had a great time, another Foretravel evening.
Sunday we had 168' of Foretravels at Camp Chaplin. John did his pre-trip checks, tires, fluids, belts and more, while Ruth loaded on supplies for the road trip home. He found he needed a keeper on the residential refer. doors. Asked for a bolt, taped the hole, rounded off the bolt head. Then cut some scrap aluminum, and had a keeper made in minutes, it will work forever. After hours of chat, how to's, and show and tell we all thought we had another great day with new friends.
That sounds like fun Dave. Thanks for posting. Hope to meet more Foretravelers someday soon. They are great folks.

It was indeed a fun evening! Don and I had a hard time dragging ourselves away and it was well past midnight by the time we got back to the warehouse. So nice to meet John and Ruth Haygarth and to see John and Jenny Kerbs again. Sorry to have missed seeing Dolly...maybe next time...but nice that Dave was able to stay.
Our gracious host and hostess were a joy to be around as usual. Thanks so much Bill, for coming up with this fine idea. It was a welcome break from the seemingly endless round of renovations!
Tys and Don
John Haygarth is clearly trying to corner the Canadian market for Foretravels!!! :P

John,
We need to know, where did you pause today on your trip west? Clearly you are not in AZ yet, as you were leaving after 8 AM. Ruth was going to remove the key after a number of hours and force a night stop!
Added Tue. 5:36 PM
I have seen that John posted a first night stop in Van Horn, and I think he was planning Phoenix Tuesday.
