FYI
Michelin has recalled some tires fitted to heavy duty vans and pickups:

$#%*&^( Michelin,
Mine not on recall list but.
Y'day at PO saw something did not look Right on LF tire on Odyssey Van. Tread was separating at the sidewall.
At tire shop found all were that way.
I bought this van a month ago, tires were good, dated 2011 and I did not see any problems. I do not like Michelins and do not have any reason why except things like this and the MH blowouts that we all hear about, they seem to be mostly Michelins.
Anyway, Tire shop had a set of Toyo premium tires and since this was last day of year they gave me a bragain price to clear inventory.
I also have a Grand Marquis with Michelins on it that I will be watching VERY closely.

I have never had a problem with Michelin tires. Been using them since the 70's. Have had plenty of issues with Goodyear. Lots of blowouts on my Fiver. Yes, Goodyear stood behind them and replaced the tire and reimbursed repair expense. But replacing a tire on the shoulder of the road is not a fun project.

Perhaps most MH blowouts that we hear about are Michelin because most MH tires are Michelin. I don't know if that is true, but it seems to me that Michelin tires are very common on RVs.
Gary, Michelin would have probably given you a pro rated warranty adjustment if all defective and not road hazard.
Tim, You are probably right but with my built in prejudice towards Michelin I would probably not have been happy.

Sorry about your bad experience with Michelins. Most of MH blowouts that I have read or heard about were Goodyears. I have been running Michelins for 30 years on our cars. They have been very reliable.
