Title: Thermostat
Post by: bbeane on January 14, 2014, 08:17:08 pm
I have the 4 button thermostat, all has been working fine. Turned every thing today before going to Tampa RV show, thermostat sees and operates everything but front furnace, no furnace display for zone one furnace. I did check all connections all seems good, unplugged the thermostat. Anyone have any clues? I suspect a rebuilt one is in the future.

May not be thermostat problem. If furnace is not displayed, it maybe roof A/C dip switch setting or maybe system is need of a reset.

Check A/C manual for dip switch settings and how to 'reset' system to pick up new dip switch settings.

A new thermostat will probably also need a system reset so the new thermostat can learn what it has to control and what to display on each zone.

My LUX PRO thermostats came in today so I installed one in the kitchen  of the 240 (replacing the old type) simple set up but I do not think when temp' is reached it turns the flame off then blows cold air to cool system down. Just switches off after a rest period. I am going to move it to other side of cabinet as there is a "dead space" above sink and by the window that it does not pick up the heat properly in living area. Jusy have to reroute wires to other side of inside of cabinet, and fill a few holes and stain.

John,
Doesn't the thermostat sends a message to the circuit board and the circuit board controls the heaters functions. If so I think your thermostat is duing its job.

Make sure the cargo door that is under the furnace is shut tight. There is a disable switch that will disable the furnace above it. In my coach it is Zone 1

When the bay door furnace switch is open does the "furnace" setting on the thermostat go away? Or does the furnace just not turn on?

Barry, a few years ago I ran into that problem and the Thermostat did show that zone but it would not run as circuit was open of course.
