Title: Generator Fuel lines
Post by: CAPEHORN31 on January 27, 2014, 10:11:56 am
I am in the process of replacing the fuel lines to the generator.  I have researched different fuel lines and have come up with Trident Marine Fuel Hose Low Permeation B1-15 EPA 3/8 ID.  Has anyone used this type of hose?  The price is good at $71.00 for 50'.

I currently have the Trident 365 A1-15 lines ready to be installed once the temperature warms up a bit.  They are high quality rubber covered hoses with a plastic tube interior, almost exactly the like the Gates Barricade fuel hose.

I very much wanted to use the HTFL plastic tubing but couldn't find anywhere that would sell me the smaller quantities that I wanted rather than buying full reels.  FOT would give me a smaller quantity but the prices for the main engine tubing was around $6.00 a foot, which was extremely high, though the smaller 3/8" line was in the low $2 range per foot which was a fairly reasonable price.  In the end, I used the Trident since it came in 50' boxes at around $2 a foot.

I noted that Dave M listed a plastic multi service (air, fuel) plastic line that uses compression fittings that they are not so proud of.  I'm presently trying to source it, Ryder fleet prod. has not yet responded to request.
