Good morning Foretravel Fans!
My Thomas 12 volt air compressor (part number RAP 6192, I think it is an HWH part#) no longer compresses air. 2001 U320, 36', single slide. The motor runs but no pressurized air. I have ordered a replacement from FOT.
Does anyone know if there is a rebuild kit for these? The interior looks very simple. There is fair mount of black dust inside. I figured if I could rebuild it then I would have a spare.
We are trying to get out of here next week for somewhere warmer. 8-10" of snow last night driven by 35 mph wind! Arrrgh!

Roger, our 12VDC compressor has failed to provide compressed air a couple of times since we have owned the coach. Each time it was because the solenoid valve in the bottom of the condensate bowl was fouled. I cleaned the valve with RO water and the compressor has worked fine. You may want to verify that there is nothing in the filter/desiccant/condensate system that is squandering the air pressure.
Thanks,
I actually removed the compressor and connected it to a pressure gauge. Nothing. My first thought before doing that was that I had a major leak or something else. That's what James T at FOT suggested. After checking ll of the nearby connections I suspected the compressor because it just didn't sound like what I was familiar with. Start at the beginning ...

$643 is what I find on HWH's latest pricelist.
Try combined fluid products for rebuild of pump, lake Zurich, il. 847 540-00
Also have great prices on new Thomas pumps
I recall the price was around $350 for exact replacement Thomas part - part number from shipper was 405ADC38/12 Compressor 12VDC. Can't find invoice. They did say they could rebuild my core. Shipped overnight when it went out at Glacier NP. Should have fixed the leaks.....
$266 at: combined fluid products
Thomas Compressor 405ADC38/12 (12v DC) (http://cfpwarehouse.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/thomas_405adc38_12_compressors.html)
Thanks to everyone here I bought one of those pumps.
The HWH furnished unit has a big foam filter mounted to the end plate. The furnished unit draws air from a small side hole instead with a small piece of foam in the hole.
Looks like the end pieces are interchangeable although.
You can hear the pump when I comes on inside the coach. Is that normal?
Turns out my old one was fine.

Thanks for the link. It looks about the same as the original. They had two at FOT. Could have bought two of these for the FOT price but they had them and shipped it right away.
One of these is cheap enough to get as a spare.
