Upgrading to a new version Xantrax 3000. Will cables swap over? Also, will new remote panel plug up to existing wires, auto gen start, etc?

dwest, You may want to call Foretravel of Texas. They replaced the inverter/charger in our coach. The old inverter/charger was a Xantrex Prosine 2000. The new inverter/charger was a Xantrex Freedom SW 3012. A new inverter/charger control panel was also installed. I just do not know about the wiring changes that were needed.
Cables will hook up. Remote panel will not use exiting wire.
See this post Prosine 2.5 failed and I was looking to see if anyone has reused the wiring (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=20426.msg151094#msg151094)
More than likely, the original cables that came with your older inverter are not large enough for the SW3012 inverter, as noted by LTG. 400MCM cables are much larger than the 3/0 that was installed in my Foretravel.
I just did this replacement.
The control panel is a bit smaller than the original and the phone style cable will not work. The 3000 uses an ethernet cable. I did reuse the battery temperature cable. The Auto gen start system is separate from the inverter and works fine with the upgrade.
FOT installed the control panel as they made a nice frame for the control panel and ran the ethernet cable for me.
Friend here in San carlos with C Coach has just changed from old Xantrex to the same 3012 unit and he said his auto start for gen will not work and he has Silverleaf panel. Anyone know how to convert the wiring to make it work again??

Dave, he is wanting the low battery signal to start it when needed. He can run it manually but not if batteries go low. I believe it used to work thru an ethernet cable from the old Prosine before that was replaced.

Thanks to all for the help. Will make install/transfer this weekend. I have the cat 5 cable and should be an easy swap over. Fishing the wire through the wall might be the testy part. With regards to the Auto-Start feature, since Foretravel already has a separate switch on the dash for this, wouldn't it have it's own 'sensor' and be separate from the Pro-sine 2.5 system? Seems like the only other wire leaving the Prosine is the battery temp sensor. I have not taken the Prosine Remote Panel off the wall yet. Maybe their is a wire to the generator their as well? Sounds like that would be redundant.

I have the Xantrex 3012 in my coach. The Auto Gen Start, in my coach, is part of the Silverleaf controller not the Xantrex. Setup is via a Silverleaf display panel. The Silverleaf controller firmware has to be upgraded to work with the 3012.
I really don't care about having the new Xantrex panel operate the Auto Gen Start. I guess if I don't don anything extra, the current system will continue to work? Do I understand correctly that the Silverleaf controller is in charge of this function?

Even though Xantrex sells an option for Autostart, there are wires that run to the Silverleaf TM102 module that are used to start the Gen from the Silverleaf panel and for Auto Start. The 102 module on mine is located in the plumbing bay. Where the water pump and water distribution panel is.
The Silverleaf has a data communications link to the Xantrex to read data and change charger/inverter settings. Xantrex changed the protocol slightly in the new 3012 requiring the firmware upgrade on the Silverleaf controller.
Thanks for that. I thought the gen start might still function the way it has. (Although that has been a crazy ride since the batteries were bad and we're replaced last month.).
