Both of our exhaust tips are faded and rusty looking. Any ideas on how to make shine again or does FOT sell new extensions for the ends? If they do, it looks like a weld might be needed. Thought about just sanding and painting with heat resistant black paint.

Detail shop used some sort of acid on a coach they were working on, cleaned them right up. Sorry, don't know what it was
Tim,
That is an idea, maybe muratic? We used to have some of that. I was thinking there might not be a finish under there. Will try and let you know.

Chrome on most of them
If they don't cleanup, measure the diameter of the pipe and look online at sites such as Summit Racing, etc for a replacement.
I replaced the tip for the generator exhaust on our coach with a chrome tip from FOT. I has a slight turn to a tapered end to look good. (Looking good is important! ;) ) I secured it with a stainless steel self tapping screw. I drilled a pilot hole while holding the tip on the "ugly" exhaust pipe.
JD,
Did the new one from FOT just slide over the old one or did you have to cut off a section?
Yea, looking good is important! Those ugly pipes right next to the shiny wheels does not cut it.

I would like the "Venture" type upright exhaust to keep your next door friends happy with you. I fabricated a 2" upright exhaust for my MCI Setup. So I can cut the current tips off in straight out so a 90 degree elbow can start the upright configuration.

The old chrome tip had fallen off and left the bare steel pipe.
Thanks. Will call FOT and order new ones. These are too far gone to restore.
